About B & K Build
Our Story
Since high school, Brandon Parker and Khalid Arafeh have dreamed of owning their own construction business. Their biggest goal? To one day create a neighborhood like Ross Bridge where residents could live, work, and play all in the same neighborhood. Working together during the summer on construction jobs, they got to experience first-hand life in the construction field and learn the ins and outs. After high school, both aspired to become engineers, but life had other plans.
Brandon would start his first full-time job in the construction field at 21 and completed his builder’s license in 2014. “I ended up working with a local developer that offered for us to start building in a neighborhood which helped jumpstart our dream of starting our own business.”
Khalid went on to complete his Civil Engineering degree from UAB. After graduation, he started working with a design manufacturing firm for multi-family projects. He then went onto getting his MBA in Business from UAB. From there, he changed jobs within the company to more of a customer service and business side of the company. With this change, Brandon and Khalid knew they were closer to starting their own company and realizing their dream and the rest is history.
Who We Are
Brandon Parker
Brandon is the home builder and is the responsible contractor at B & K Build, LLC. Brandon is also on the board of directors for the Greater Birmingham Assocation of Home Builders. A master of multi-tasking and building extensive networks of quality partners. You can also refer to Brandon as the muscle needed to get the job done.
Outside of work, Brandon is a single father of one son, Jackson. He enjoys all of the sports related activities with his son and currently is coaching his basketball and football team. He also enjoys riding motorcycles when not working, or at the field.
Khalid Arafeh
Khalid is responsible for the finances and contract documents at B & K Build, LLC. He has 10 years of experience in the wood-framed construction industry as an engineer supervisor. Khalid is a registered Profession Engineer in 40 states. He is the brains behind the operations.
Khalid lives in Hoover with his wife, Ranya. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and outdoor activities including riding his motorcycle.

From the initial consultation, to design, to the final walkthrough, we work closely with our clients to ensure that their vision becomes a reality. We use only the highest quality materials and construction techniques to ensure that our homes are built to last.

At B & K Build, we love bringing our clients visions to life. To achieve this, we believe that an essential step in making this possible is choosing a capable an experienced architect. Our preferred Architect to work with is Fursterio Design inc. Frusterio shares our vision of bringing their clients dreams to life. With an extensive list of predesigned plans, they give you the option to choose from an existing plan or create your own.
